Host Jeremy Dylan is joined by the greatest (and tallest) drummer in rock’n’roll history Pete Thomas, best known as a member of Elvis Costello’s bands the Attractions and the Imposters - but whose resume includes everyone from The Finn Brothers to Los Lobos to Pearl Jam. They discuss the classic 1967 debut album from the Jimi Hendrix Experience - “Are You Experienced?”
Pete reveals which drum parts in Elvis Costello songs he stole from this album, recalls stalking Hendrix drummer Mitch Mitchell, he recalls playing Foxey Lady with the Red Hot Chili Peppers while Flea hung upside down from the ceiling and how he almost got fired from the Attractions but saved himself by calling on the spirit of Mitch.
